How to join a Microsoft Teams Meeting by meeting ID and Passcode - Web Page Link - Tom Talks
Teams meetings are best when you join them from the Teams app or Teams on the web, and there's a bunch of ways to do that—read on for details about joining by link, from your calendar, and more. If you can't use the app or the web, some meetings let you call in using a phone number. Join by link. Join from calendar or ID. Join in a channel. Join from chat. Call in. Add a room while you join. Select Click here to join the meeting in your meeting invite to be taken to a page where you can choose to either join on the web or download the desktop app. If you already have the Teams app, the meeting will open there automatically.
If you do have a Teams account, select Sign in to join with access to the meeting chat and more. To find both the meeting ID and passcode, go to your calendar in Outlook. Open the meeting you want to join. At the bottom of the meeting invitation under Or join by entering a meeting ID , you'll find the ID and passcode. Just select Join. If the meeting has already begun, it appears in your recent chat list. Select the meeting in your chat list and then select Join at the top of the chat.
If you're unable to use the Teams app or Teams on the web, you can join some meetings by calling a phone number. Table of contents. To join a meeting using the meeting ID, go to any web or in-product Teams entry point and enter the meeting ID where indicated.

For additional security you will also need to fill in an alphanumeric meeting passcode generated by the system to connect to the meeting. Apart from that, be sure to use security features such as a meeting lobby to send uninvited guests to the lobby, meeting do not forward, meeting options, meeting lock and meeting policies.
The security features in Teams function the same way irrespective of how participants connect to the meeting. If you receive the Meeting ID and Passcode in an email, you will need to copy and paste these into the Teams app or the Website to join the meeting. You will see the option to Join by meeting ID in the top right corner of the calendar:.
